SmashTrack ("we," "our," or "us") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, process, and safeguard your data when you use the SmashTrack mobile application and our website (smashtrack.app).
1. Information Collection and Use
A. Bluetooth & Location Data
To establish a connection with your physical racket motion sensor, the application requires access to Bluetooth scanning permissions. On standard Android platforms, scanning for nearby Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) peripherals requires local Location permission access.
* Data Processing: All search processes and data sync handshakes are performed entirely locally on your device. We do not collect, share, or transmit your device location coordinates or Bluetooth connection records to any external servers.
B. Badminton Performance Statistics
The application tracks swing diagnostics (including swing count, swing speed in km/h, sweet-spot accuracy percentage, and calories burned) captured by the connected racket sensor.
* Data Processing: These metrics are saved locally in the application's secure sandbox directory inside a private SQLite database. If you register an account, these statistics are securely synced to our databases to enable career history recovery. Your details are never disclosed to third parties.
C. Google Account Login & User IDs
When you register or log in using Google OAuth single sign-on, we request access to your primary Google email address and public user ID.
* Data Processing: We use these details strictly to authenticate your account session and link your synced performance history to your private profile.
2. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal details, physical fitness metrics, or account information with third-party companies or marketing networks. All database records are used solely to deliver the app's performance tracking and AI Coach analysis.
3. Secure Encryption
All user information collected during registration or cloud backup processes is encrypted in transit using Secure Socket Layer (SSL/TLS) connections. Local files are protected using default operating system sandbox policies.
4. Account & Data Deletion Requests
We honor all requests for account and data deletion in accordance with Google Play developer guidelines:
- In-App Deletion: You can erase your database records at any time by selecting the "Delete Account" option under Settings in your Profile tab inside the mobile app.
- Web Request: You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated badminton metrics from our cloud servers by emailing us at hello@smashtrack.app.
- Retention Period: Upon receiving your email deletion request, we will permanently remove all of your profile records from our databases within 30 days.
