We are dedicated to user privacy and secure on-device operations. Read below to understand how and why SmashTrack requests access permission data.
Android requires Location access to search for nearby Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) sensor broadcasts. SmashTrack scans locally to identify and connect to your racket sensor. Location scans are executed locally on the device; no location data is collected, stored, or transmitted to any external servers.
Swing speed, calorie burn, and sweet-spot precision are processed locally and saved in your device's sandboxed SQLite database. The data is parsed exclusively to draw your analytics graphs and performance scores, ensuring absolute user data ownership.
When you sign up using your Google Account, we request only your email address and profile ID to safely verify your session. This profile is used to sync your dashboard statistics to our secure databases, enabling you to retrieve your career history if you switch devices.
We believe in user control. You can delete your login session and delete all local sensor databases at any time in the app settings. Alternatively, submit a deletion request via our support details, and your database records will be erased within 30 days.
Direct answers about SmashTrack badminton tracker functionality and data management.
SmashTrack connects via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to a physical IoT badminton sensor attached to the base of your racket. The sensor's accelerometer and gyroscope transmit data to the app in real-time, which then calculates your swing speed in km/h using calibrated physics equations.
Android's operating system requires Approximate Location permissions for any application that performs Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) scanning. SmashTrack uses this permission solely to discover and sync with your racket sensor locally on the device. We do not track, collect, or store your actual location.
No. Your workout sessions, speeds, accuracy, and calories are stored in a private database on your mobile device. If you use Cloud Sync, the metrics are encrypted and backed up to your private profile in our database. We do not sell or share user performance statistics.
You can delete all personal data directly in the mobile app by navigating to the Profile tab, opening Settings, and selecting "Delete Account." You can also request complete deletion by emailing us at hello@smashtrack.app. Cloud data is purged within 30 days of the request.
